The Koslch family opened Chowders Seafood and Grill in 1989. When you open a restaurant with chowders in their name, it follows that you have a signature chowder. Through trial and error and a lot of tasting, a secret recipe was discovered. A recipe so good and so delicious, people came from all over to try it out. Our secret family recipe has won numerous awards throughout the state of Florida and continues to do so winning the 2014 Chowder award in the “Chowder Cook Off” in Port Canaveral.
Our award winning clam chowder fourteen years later followed us to Baja Tavern and is prepared fresh daily by Chef Ryan who is sworn to secrecy. Our chowder has an incredibly rich, creamy texture, full of big flavor, loaded with clams, potatoes and special spices to bring this intense culinary experience to you.
Our lobster chowder is another secret family recipe made exclusively for the private club “La Club International” owned by the Kolsch family. Again a bowl full of liquid gold, overflowing with lobster, potatoes and secret ingredients prepared daily by Chef Ryan.
